Friction Atlas is a Bangladesh-first, open-source civic-tech platform for documenting and analyzing recurring barriers in systems, services, infrastructure, and institutions. It treats everyday delays, confusing processes, missing services, unsafe workarounds, and access failures as signals that a system may not be working as intended.

The platform is for people who experience these barriers, as well as researchers, journalists, community groups, builders, and institutions looking for better evidence about what needs attention. Published records can be explored by location and domain, including agriculture, infrastructure, education, financial access, governance, healthcare, digital access, housing, and social mobility.

Friction Atlas is not a generic complaint board and publication is not a claim that every report has been independently verified. Records should be read with their source links, evidence, freshness, and moderation context. Private profiles, moderation work, raw submissions, and sensitive personal information are not part of the public research surface.
