Friction Atlas is an open-source, Bangladesh-first civic-tech project. The public codebase is MIT-licensed. Platform data has separate governance: source code openness does not automatically license user submissions, third-party evidence, database exports, or personal data.

## Public interface boundary

The website is a public research and discovery surface. Do not assume that an undocumented endpoint is public or stable. Automated submission, voting, moderation, bulk collection, and private-data access require explicit authorization. A documented public API or open dataset will only be announced after its contract, provenance, privacy review, and reuse terms are ready.
